Thus, (2E,4E)-2,4-Nonadien-1-ol is considered to be a fatty alcohol lipid molecule. (2E,4E)-2,4-Nonadien-1-ol is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. It is a food flavourant (presumably as mixture of geometric isomers) for a variety of food.
