Polyprenylphenols are compounds containing a polyisoprene chain attached to a phenol group. Thus, 3-oxohexacosyl-CoA is considered to be a fatty ester lipid molecule. 3-Oxohexacosyl-CoA is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
